The Spyderco Folding Knife – Snap-It – H1 – Plain traces its history back to the original Snap-It design, which was a unique departure from Spyderco’s groundbreaking CLIPIT® knives. Instead of a pocket clip, it featured a snap shackle attached to the pivot-pin end of the handle that allowed the user to clip the closed knife to a D-ring, carabiner, or similar platform to hang in a position where it was easily accessible. This unique innovation earned a U.S. utility patent and Blade magazine’s prestigious “Overall Knife of the Year” award in 1993.
Back by popular demand and now better than ever, the Snap-It Salt combines all the defining qualities of the original design with the 100% rustproof properties of H-1® steel. This amazing alloy uses nitrogen instead of carbon to create its steel-like properties, making it total invulnerable to corrosion. It is also a work-hardening steel that holds an excellent edge, yet is incredibly strong and flexible.
